To install this using the PPA method, open a console terminal, type in, or copy & paste, each line below one by one: Install "guvcview" webcam software now, and try it. Never tried this with an IP camera before. Viewtopic.php?f=47&t=247927&hilit=zoneminderĪ really great software for webcameras, and video for linux (V4L) devices is "Guvcview". Previous post with a lot of information on Zoneminder There are some really great options for this, "ZoneMinder (ZM)", and "Motion". If you run " inxi -Fxzd" from the console terminal prompt, highlight the results, copy and paste them back here, that should provide enough information.
